Ever had this coffee mishap happen?
Because there’s 4 simple ways to avoid it…
The alarm goes off.
You roll out of bed.
Feel the pull of the coffee…
Like a drug addict, you walk to the kitchen.
Drink some water. But crave the coffee.
It’s so good, isn’t it?
Fill the carafe with water. Pour it into the coffee.
Can’t get this fast enough, you think. Then, open the drawer (right as your inner voice screams)
And realize. CRAP.
…You’re Out Of Coffee Filters.
Because your brain is in pre-caff mode it slowly dawns on you: The good fresh smooth caffeinated stuff ain’t happening today.
But the store ain’t open yet…
So you resort to some sort of other terrible solution. Maybe an old French Press. Or a tasteless K-Cup…. Yuck.
But what if I told you there were 4 steps you could take – just 3 or 4 times a year – that would ensure that you never have to drink a cup of coffee that tastes terrible again.
Buy filters in bulk.
Now, a lot of folks will say this sort of thing, sure. But I’m going to tell you how to do this strategically.
The easiest way I’ve found is to just go on Amazon Prime.
Subscribe and save on coffee.
This is great advice in general not JUST for coffee but any food stock you buy in bulk. Non-dairy milk, beans, etc.
At a minimum, this is great to do with coffee — because it ensures you’ll never miss a morning without it.
Clean your coffee contraptions with vinegar.
As parents, it’s so easy to get distracted with the day to do. Little cleaning tasks are easy to forget. And one common one I don’t hear folks talk about much is cleaning their coffee pot.
Even if they do, it’s probably just with soap and water (which can leave a bad taste if you don’t rinse well. So take things to the next level
Get a NICE french press 4 Work.
Don’t be cheap here. If you do work, it’s much more sustainable & healthier to enjoy a good cup (or 3) Parisian style.
Plus, other benefits of a French press include: Peace of Mind (never have to lug k-cups to work) and not ruining the planet every day.
And if you don’t listen to the advice above, and you end up with a morning where you’re running on no coffee, you’ll at least be able to make up for it at the office (including the home office).
