Today began like so many others.
Because for the last couple of months, I’ve been experiencing a sleeping drought.
In fact, the other night I tossed and turned till after 1:00 a.m.
But unlike the Instagram dreamlike parents who all look well rested, I regularly have to operate on less than 5 hours of sleep even though we sleep trained our toddler.
And that means I had to slog through my workday gulping down cups of coffee.
It was exhausting.
It was twice as hard to focus on routine tasks.
And I probably drank a whole pot of coffee!
But I pushed through and made it through the day.
And even though these days are fewer than when I had a newborn, it still feels in the moment like a mighty challenge.
Because when you’re a working parent who co-shares caring for a child, with no support from grandparents nearby, some days you gotta push through – no matter how you feel about it.
And while this is challenging alone…
