Do you remember how much of a struggle so much of pregnancy was?
I was thinking about this recently…
For me, it’s almost too easy to forget.
Especially now that I have a toddler and those days sometimes seem like a different life.
But for you, it’s the reality today (if you’re pregnant).
Because honestly when I think about the hardest times, I think about the early months before the baby was sleeping through the night!
But I was remembering this recently and frankly, pregnancy was one of the toughest parts of becoming a parent.
So today I’ve got for you 4 ways to make pregnancy more fun.
Because even when life is hard It can still be fun!
That’s what I believe!
Anyway so thinking about this Maybe think of 5 ways that you can make pregnancy more fun.
So that’s all we’ve got today! Let’s jump in.
Hire House Cleaners
Now you might be thinking this one isn’t for because it’s expensive, but I had a recent experience that might change your mind.
Let me explain…
We used to spend hours every weekend cleaning the house. And our house isn’t even that big! It just took up a lot of time.
Plus, having it hanging over our heads waiting to get done was always a bummer too.
But one day we reached a breaking point. And it really revolved around the bathroom.
While pretty small as far as bathrooms go, this one seemed to get super dirty – and therefore hard to clean.
But then we heard about a way of finding house cleaners that changed our minds completely.
It’s through Amazon services – we were able to find a small crew that comes on an as-needed basis and doesn’t charge an insane amount.
I almost couldn’t believe it. I was skeptical, but we gave it a try.
They did an amazing job! Much better than when we clean the house ourselves.
So consider it! Not only does it free up a bunch of time for me on the weekends, but it also gives peace of mind.
And if you’re thinking it’s out of your budget then think about what expenses you could cut so you can work it in every once in a while.
Think about it: would you rather have a fancy cable package with 200 channels you never watch or a clean house?
The choice is yours.
Channel Your Inner Marie Kondo
Believe it or not, you too can muster the willpower to tackle that cleaning project you’ve been putting off.
It’s something that I can struggle with. Especially when I’ve got a big project that needs a lot of work.
But watching Marie Kondo I was inspired to tackle the project of cleaning out our office.
At first, it seemed overwhelming, but then I realized I needed to break it down into manageable parts.
So I started small. I inventoried the things that we need to just throw away. And then I organized everything we needed to donate.
Once I’d cleaned those things out, I started to feel the momentum. And sure enough, it motivated me to finish the project.
Now, this is a story from about a month, and our son is almost 2 already, so if you are super pregnant you might not want to do this unless you’ve got someone to help lift and organize the heavier stuff.
But the takeaway here is that once you get started, you’ll feel the momentum to keep going!
I sure did!
Take A Practical Babymoon
Why do I say practical? Well, let me elaborate…
You see, so often it seems that the advice on babymoons is so extravagant.
International destinations. 4-star hotels. Exotic beaches. Luxury travel.
It can all seem so fancy. And likely out of reach for a normal person like me.
That’s why I like to take a more practical approach to things.
And for me, that means:
keep things local.
So what does that look like?
Well, I’d say within an hour, hour and a half driving distance, MAX.
So here’s what you can do to make a shortlist of possible places to go.
Hop on Google Maps, find your city, then map out every city or town that seems interesting and within this reasonable driving distance.
Now, this is assuming you haven’t lived in your current city your whole life. If you have, then you’re probably already familiar with the closest cities and towns.
From there, you can do some research about what sites are worth seeing in each town, and make a list of hotels you’d like to stay at.
Once you know where you’d like to stay, then you can go on a hunt to find the best deals for one of these hotels.
My personal favorite is Priceline. I know, the commercials are cheesy.
But then I discovered the option to bid on a hotel and name your price.
And now I LOVE it! I’ve gotten so many great hotels by using this tool.
You can too! Perfect for a manageable babymoon that you want to keep within your budget!
And while you’re on that babymoon, consider this next idea:
Get A Foot Massage
Now, I don’t know about you but I love massages.
And even just writing that makes me wonder, there are people who don’t??
This can be a great way to feel quickly rejuvenated.
Because when you’re on your feet all day they can get sore.
And it can be hard to find relief.
And when you’re pregnant it seems like there are so many things you can’t do, so it can be hard to find something that does feel good that you can still do to ease the discomfort.
So do what you have to do and either get your spouse to give you a foot massage or head to your local nail salon to get your toenails done with a foot massage included.
